I am going over my second chapter before submitting it to my committee. It's not bad, though I'm struck by how after all the theoretical flights I take when I sit down to write I mostly produce close readings.

I'm struck by the fact that I've been overusing the word "struck" or "strikes," particularly in constellation with "by the fact." Clearly cognition has a violent edge for me.
